Mr John Isaac

Afon Tâf High School is sad to announce the passing of Mr John Isaac.

Mr Isaac became Headteacher at Afon Tâf High School in 1976, before retiring from the post in 1993. He began his teaching career at Mountain Ash Grammar School, moving two years later to Quakers' Yard Technical School. When Quakers' Yard Technical School closed due to school reorganisation Mr Isaac moved to Afon Tâf to teach biology.

Prior to his appointment as Headteacher at this school, Mr Isaac was previously Head of Sixth Form, and Deputy Headteacher. Outside of school, Mr Isaac had a keen interest in choral singing, and was a member of a charity-raising Barbershop Quartet that performed all over Wales.

May we take this opportunity for all staff and students at the school to pass on deepest condolences to Mr Isaac's family.

Mr Isaac's funeral service and committal will take place at Llwydcoed Crematorium
on Monday 30th March at 10:00am.  Donations in lieu of flowers are being received
for Ty Hafan.
