In Year 7 pupils study a range of map skills, the rainforest and consider the causes and effects of deforestation. Pupils also complete an investigation into micro climate throughout the school. In Year 8 pupils study the causes and impact of river landforms, migration and tourism. Finally, in Year 9 pupils study development in Kenya and the future of Antarctica, natural hazards and the geography of crime.

At Key Stage 4 pupils study changing physical and human landscape, assessing their understanding of river and coastal hazards and their management. Pupils also study weather, climate and ecosystems. Ultimately, there is a fieldwork enquiry which requires learners to write a written report and accounts for twenty percent of the qualification.
